The Players

I have gotten questions about the players in my blogs. So, I thougth I would introduce them as they come along.

Nate

On November 09, 2007, I married Nate Bocker. At the time, Nate was stationed in Grand Junction as a recruiter for the US Army. Having taken Goosebutt around to explore different branches of the military, I had a distinct distaste for recruiters. I felt like they were the used car salesmen of the military. Or even better, that they were nothing more than Uncle Sam’s pimps. Hence the name you see often in my blogs, B Daddy. Which is actually a shortened version of the pimp name that my kids gave Nate. Big Bock Daddy.

Dra

The eldest of my spawn is Andra. A.K.A. Dra, or Goosebutt. Goosebutt is 19, and often referred to as “the perfect child”. To this I say PFFT! She is a good kid. Loved school. a bazillion seasons of soccer. No smoking. No drinking. In other words, BOR-RING! Ha. Not really. She has always been able to keep herself entertained, which has always been much appreciated.

Nik

And in this corner, currently wearing tiny little maternity clothes, we have Nicole! A.K.A. Nik, Nikki, Nikkerbokkerbutt, or Chunky Monkey. Monk is 17 and decided to give me a birthday present this year that none of the other kids would get me. She is pregnant and due on November 10th… my birthday. For every quiet moment that Goosebutt gave me, Monk gave me the exact opposite. A heart of gold. Sweetest girly girl there is. Until she isn’t.

Toad

And then there was Cody. A.K.A. Toady, Toad or Toadboy. Monk couldn’t say Cody when he was born, so she called him Toady. It stuck. Poor kid. Toad is 15. And 6’2″. And 200 pounds. He is HUGE! He is, according to his football coaches, a ‘One Man Bar Room Brawl’. The only kid I know who got in trouble for being too aggressive in football. Really? That is possible? Toad is a one of a kind, curious, manipulative (yet openly and innocently), 100% boy. Ya gotta love him…

So there they are. I will come back to introduce more cast of characters as they come along…

  1. I had to include you on my little site, MotherBraggers, because I love what you wrote about your kids.
